What we offer

A safe place for our tamariki.

Families

“Where families come first”

We value the time whanau spend with their tamariki in our centre. We believe that vital learning takes place at home. Tamariki are a taonga (treasure) and the parents are entrusting their most prized taonga into our care. We have an open-door policy and whanau are welcome to pop in for a visit at any time. We are always available to talk to, and parents receive ongoing updates about their child’s learning. We provide meaningful detailed leaning journeys which are available through hard copy in the centre, and also online for easy access at all times.

Tamariki

Tamariki grounded with the Papatuanuku

We keep tamariki grounded with the papatuanuku (earth) by using the environment as a third teacher. As we venture out to the community, the tamariki see more of the natural world around us and are able to learn of the many aspects that mother nature provides us.

Professional development

We strive to offer a calm, relaxed environment

We are committed to ongoing professional development and on-going evaluation to ensure we are meeting the needs of our children and Whanau, ensuring we offer a high-quality program. We strive to offer a calm, relaxed environment where children can develop at their own pace and feel safe and secure, knowing we will meet their needs . We believe each child has unique strengths. We work inclusively to ensure children’s learning is not limited by age, gender, ethnicity or background. We value each child’s language, culture and individual identity and encourage contribution from all tamariki, kaiako, and whanau
