Kia Ora, I have been involved in childcare since I was a teenager, and have always worked at Centres on the Coast. I love our beautiful community and love giving back to our community. I am a volunteer Firefighter for Manly Fire Brigade.
I am also a proud mother of two boys. Through my teaching, I am guided by Reggio Emilia and Curiosity Approach. I enjoy building relationships with children and their whanau. I value play as the most important engine to learning while using the environment as a third teacher to inspire play. Me te aroha

I have been involved in the Childcare industry since 2003, when my youngest daughter who was then 3 years old, came to work with me at my Centre in New Lynn.
Now, my eldest daughter comes to work with me - but in her own right, as she is a qualified registered teacher, and her daughters come along also – it’s a real family affair.
I believe in the environment being the third teacher. My greatest passion within childcare has been to provide a wonderful environment for the children to learn and grow in which changes and evolves with the children.

It's a privelege being involved with nurturing your children. I believe that, as far as possible, we should create a home-like environment where your tamariki can learn and thrive. They all differ from each other and I find this fascinating. My daily challenge is to treat each of your children as an individual, interacting with them on their level and, at the same time, guiding them.
I'm interested to know how you feel and what you consider to be your priorities. A quick chat whenever you drop your children off or collect them is an awesome way of keeping open lines of communication and this is one of my priorities. Here's to happy children.
